The environment is all around us.
From the air we breathe to the soil beneath our feet.
Our natural environment supports us, providing access to clean water, air, food and shelter.
Many of us enjoy the smell of Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) in bloom, and the sounds of lorikeets, cockatoos and galahs’ as you walk alongside the Fitzroy River with its many inhabitants including barramundi and the majestic salt water crocodile. Protecting and maintaining this natural environment is essential if we want it to continue to support us now and our children in the future.
