Woppaburra Beach Clean

Capricorn Conservation Council was honoured to be part of Reef Clean & Tangaroa Blue Woppa Island Clean Up led by Woppaburra TUMRA Aboriginal Corporation. Coordinator, Sophie George, and Conservation Trainee, Summer Stringer, teamed up with other members of the community and many of our CCC members to remove over 100kgs of rubbish from the Island!

A massive thank you to Livingstone Shire Council and Konomie Island Environmental Education Centre for supporting this event where we all came together to Care for Country- led by Woppaburra TUMRA Chair and Traditional Owner- Meaghan! THIS is what it’s all about.
